Latson Productions can create a Video Slideshow for your most important or precious memories. A Video Slideshow is a collection of photographs that can be organized into a video with transitions between each image. This can be overlaid with your choice of music, titles, menus, and can be seamlessly made into a VHS, CD (“MPEG”), DVD, or even a PowerPoint Slideshow.
For a Video Slideshow, you simply provide us with the photos (either a digital file or we can scan from picture, for an additional fee) music, listing of any titles or menus you desire, and tell us how you want the video slideshow to look, and we will produce a Video Slideshow that will be sure to remain an important keepsake for years to come.

Video to JPEG (Video Capture) |
Latson Productions can produce a “JPEG” (electronic single image) from any section of your video. For video to “JPEG” services we accept VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, 8mm, Hi-8, Digital8, MiniDV, and DVCam, VCD, DVD, and CD. However, it is important to remember that the quality of the “JPEG” is completely dependent on the quality of the video.

Do you have precious memories taken on a camcorder, and no longer have the equipment to play them back? Are you concerned that repeated playings of your original video tapes may damage them? Well worry no further. Latson Productions can transfer your VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, 8mm, Hi-8, Digital8, MiniDV, and DVCam tapes to DVD, which can preserve your video footage for years to come. We offer 2 high quality DVD conversion services. One service is DVD recording, and the other service is DVD mastering. Both services offer excellent quality (or as good as the source materials). The DVD recording service is however the lower cost option.
|
Recorded DVD |
A recorded DVD is simply a DVD recorded directly from your source material, either a video tape, a video transfer directly, or a video transfer that has been recorded on a video tape. In the latter case it is recommended that a MiniDV or Digital8 master be made from your film, and then the DVD recorded from that. We will record a DVD from VHS or SVHS film transfers if you wish, however the quality lost will not be worth the savings.
Chapters are automatically placed every 5 minutes on the DVD. We can record either 50 minutes at highest quality, or 120 minutes at lower quality. You have the option choosing a DVD-R or DVD+R disc. However, at this current time, DVD-R has the reputation of being compatible with more consumer DVD players. You will be able to preserve your valuable video footage for many years to come as DVD disks are projected to have an archival life of over 100 years.
|
Mastered DVD |
The mastering process starts with the video capture either from your video tape format. The video is captured at full quality, low compression DV video, to our computer drives. We then assemble the video, add titles, add audio (if desired), remove blank spots, and anything else the client needs. Also at this point we mark the chapters for the DVD.
Next is the encoding process. The video is encoded into MPEG-2 format using the variable bit rate process. The audio is encoded to AC-3 (Dolby Digital Audio) format, in full stereo or surround sound. A custom menu page is also created with links to chapters as needed.
The whole DVD is then brought together and assembled in DVD authoring software, which supports all the features of consumer DVD players. The DVD is then burned to the client’s choice of either DVD-R or DVD+R media. However, at this current time, DVD-R has the reputation of being compatible with more consumer DVD players. We can record up to 50 minutes on a DVD at the best quality. You will be able to preserve your valuable video footage for many years to come as DVD disks are projected to have an archival life of over 100 years.

If you need to create a video, we can help you develop, plan, and execute your video project. At Latson Productions, we don't just make a video; we capture memories and provide custom crafted video solutions for our customers. Latson Productions only uses quality digital equipment, and primarily use the MiniDV (Digital Video) format for our video production services. We take pride in providing our customers with quality video, whether it be a special event, wedding, religious ceremony, interview, special keepsake video, or any other type of video our clients require.
After your video shoot, we will make the client one (1) DVD and one (1) VHS or unedited, raw footage of their video project. If the client wishes to have the project edited, they can either choose our video editing service, or simply take their project to another production house. MiniDV Master copies can be provided to the client for an additional cost. At this current time, we only serve the Houston area with video production services.
